Terms & conditions 

1.general provisions 

1:1  acceptance: these terms and conditions (t&cs) apply to and form part of all contracts for the supply and installation of flooring and related products and services by [floors & more] (referred to as "the company" "we" "us" or "our") to the client (referred to as "the client" or "you"). by accepting a quote or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these T&cs. 

1.2. quotations: all quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A contract is formed only when the company accepts your order upon payment for materials and receives any required deposit upfront.

1.3. prices: all prices are subject to change without notice until the contract is formed. prices quoted include standard installation but exclude unforeseen sub-floor preparation, specialist damp-proofing, or unusual waste removal unless specifically detailed.

2. materials and measurements' 

2.1. client responsibility: it is the clients responsibility to ensure that all measurements provided to the company are correct. the company will confirm and finalize measurements during a site visit, but any discrepancies found after material ordering that require additional material will be charged to the client. 

2.2. material variation: the client acknowledges that natural products (e.g. wood) will have natural variations in colour, grain, texture, and shading. slight variations in colour or shade may also occur between samples, display models and the final delivered product, especially in dyed or manufactured goods. we cannot guarantee an exact match to a sample.

2.3. delivery and storage: materials will be delivered to the site on or before the installation date. the client must provide a secure, dry, and a appropriate area for material acclimatation and storage. damage to materials stored on site is the clients responsibility.

3. payment terms 

3.1. deposit: a [a e.g. a full deposit of the total for materials is required upon acceptance of the quotation to secure the installation date and order materials. this deposit is non-refundable once materials have been ordered or cut.

3.2. final payment: the outstanding balance is due in full immediately upon completion of the installation and before the installers leave the site. we reserve the right to remove materials if payment is not received. 

3.3. late payments: the company reserves the right to charge interest on any overdue balance at a rate of [e.g. 5%] per annum above the bank of England's base rate, calculated daily, from the due date until the date of full payment. 

3.4. completion: installation is deemed complete when the flooring is laid, and the primary work is finished, not with standing 'snagging' issues. payment is not contingent on the resolution of minor snagging. 

4. installation and site conditions 

4.1. site preparation: the client is responsible for ensuring the installation area is clear of all furniture, existing floor coverings, debris, and any required electrical/utility connections before the installer arrives. any additional work or delays incurred due to inadequate site preparation may be charged at a hourly rate of £25.

4.2. sub-floor: installation is based on the assumption of a sound, level and dry sub-floor. if our installers identify the need for unforeseen sub-floor preparation (e.g. excessive levelling, moisture mitigation) upon arrival we will stop work and provide a revised quote for the necessary work. work will only resume once the revised quote is approved and paid for.

4.3. duration: any estimated time is a projection only. we will not be liable for an loses or damages resulting from installation delays caused by factors outside our control (e.g. weather unforeseen site condition's, supplier issues).

4.4. skirting and trim: while our installers take reasonable care, minor scuffs, marks or touch ups to skirting boards, paintwork or walls may occur during the installation process. the company is not responsible for repairing or repainting these minor blemishes. 

5. warranty and limitations of liability 

5.1. warrantee: the company warrants that the installation will be free from defects in workmanship for a period of [e.g. 1 year] from the date of completion. This warranty covers the fitting only.

5.2. product warranty: product warranties are provided by the respective manufacturer and are subject to their terms and conditions. the company will assist the client in making a claim but is not the guarantor of the manufacturers product warranty.

5.2. exclusions: the warranty does not cover:

* damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or accidents (e.g. heavy furniture, flooding, spike heels or pet damage).

* normal wear and tear or changes in colour/appearance due to exposure to sunlight or cleaning.

* damage caused by inadequate sub-floor conditions (e.g. moisture, structural movement) that were not identifiable or addressed prior to installation.

5.4. limitation of liability: our total liability to you for any breach of contract or negligence is limited to the total price paid by you for the products and services supplied under the contract. We will not be liable for any in direct or consequential losses, including loss of profit or business disruption.

6. cancellation and termination

6.1 cancellation by client: orders cancelled by the client after the 30-day quotation period may forfeit the full deposit if materials have been ordered. if work has commenced, the client will be liable for the deposit plus the cost of all materials used and work completed up to the point of cancellation.

6.2. termination by company: we reserve the right to terminate the contract and cease work immediately if the client fails to make payments as required or breaches any of these t&cs.

7. governing law

7.1. these t&cs shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England & Wales. the parties agree to submit to exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
